I am hoping that this page will be filled with improvements and fun facts of things happening here! Watch it fill up as we strive to make this a better place for all!
2 new bulletin boards have been made and placed on the 2 buildings at the top of the main level stairs. This will house the Rules and Regulations and any special events/notices pertinent to all residents. Thanks Jim for making these for us.
A BIG THANK YOU to Jim Poth, owner of #26 and PCCA maintenance man, and Steve Brice, renter of #30, for replacing all the missing ballusters in both buildings that were kicked out by the kids. You have provided a safer place for everyone and improved the looks. A special Thanks to Jim for cleaning out the gutters as well! Thank you to Colton, tenant in #7, for bringing the bike rack down off the deck and into the parking lot so that Jim can anchor it. And a big thanks to the owners of unit 21 for cleaning up the property between the buildings! Looks nice. Thanks to Jim and Young Brian in condo 25 and his friend for making the fence in the back from the timber of the torn down steps! Looks Great!!!!
I love to see a community working together for the common good. Thanks Guys!
Repair work has begun on the front decks to bring them up to code. They will be completed while the back decks are worked on. We also approved 4 new handrails to be installed for the safety of everyone.
April 17th we had a clean up day in honor of Earth Day. And what a success it was! Trees were trimmed in front and along side yard (back to be done after construction is completed). Tons of trash and leaves were picked up. The entrance was weeded and mulched (more to be done-ran out of time). Area around air conditioners were cleaned out and sprayed to prevent weeds. The dumpster area was cleaned. We also got a new dumpster that is easier to use.
It was hard work and left all achy and tired but everyone who came out said they would like to do it again and finish where they left off. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU:)
The construction of the rear decks has been completed! The final siding repairs are being made. And the staining of the decks will come to pass this fall. Looks great!
All but 2 decks are completed and it looks great. We had some people do it themselves and others who paid to have it done but all did a good job.
We had a great clean up day. The weeds were all cleaned out around the air conditioners and along the parking lot, balusters were replaced, and painting of the dumpster was done. People enjoyed working together and sharing a meal after all the hard work. We already have a list for next spring:) Thanks to all of you.
i DON'T THINK THE GUTTERS HAD EVER BEEN CLEANED OUT BUT THEY ARE NOW!! THIS WAS DONE BY HANDYMAN MATTERS.
SO THAT EVERYONE MIGHT USE THE DUMPSTER AS INTENDED, PAVERS WERE INSTALLED TO KEEP THE MUD DOWN. tHIS WAS DONE BY HANDYMAN MATTERS.
The configuration of the back downspouts has been completed. This should direct water away from the storage units on the lower level, prevent tripping over those black tubes on the patios and make it look much better!
We have added additional lights to the front of both buidlings. We are now one of the brightest spots in O'Fallon! Everyone can now feel safe on the lot and stairs.
The dumpster was painted a rich, dark brown. Looks great!
The flowers at the entrance are being removed since we do not have anyone here to care for them. It is looking better each time Kathy removes a bunch. Thanks Kathy for the care you gave them while living here and for removing now.
The cedar siding in front has a brand new look! It was stained with a tan color to match the siding on the building. It really makes the dark trim pop out.
Nov. 2011 the gutters were all cleaned and new gutter guards were installed. this should prevent the need from cleaning them 2-3x a year saving us money in the long run. They were done in dark brown to match the trim.
The storage units were checked and sealed at roof line to help prevent leakage.
The large cedar tree was removed from between the buildings. It had grown so large it was damaging the siding on both buildings and hanging over the parking lot. It was about 140 feet high when removed. It grieved me to see it go but we had no choice.
corrective landscaping was done on the south and east side of building 1 to prevent water from running off hillside onto the patios.
Continue on pae 2.
